As Rat and Mole trudge through the snow, Mole suddenly longs to visit his cozy underground home, the beloved Mole End. Mole End is dusty and neglected, but Rat soon has a fire going and when the field mice carol singers arrive, it isn't long before they are all enjoying a merry festive supper.
